GC273-193 is specially designed to meet the requirements of ASTM C273; shear testing of sandwich core materials. The test specimen is bonded to the inside faces of the fixture. The thickness of the test specimen and fixture must be such that the line of tension or compression passes through the corners of the test material. Compression fixtures are also available for the C273 test.
