Pneumatic grips, or air grips, use air pressure to provide a simple and efficient method to clamp test specimens. They apply to situations where rapid clamping and quick sample insertion are needed. They also serve test requirements where the material shrinks and a screw action grip loses its grab. Air grips adjust to the changing conditions and hold regardless of sample deformation. Jaws adjust position to handle specimen thickness so force remains centered with the grip body. Multiple interchangeable jaw faces are available in various sizes and surfaces. Most grips can be outfitted with smooth ground, rubber-coated, serrated or diamond cut and wave action.
Note: Optional adapters or mechanical connections available for all test machines.
