The test chamber is fabricated from high quality brushed stainless steel and includes the following features:
• Adjustable burner complete with specimen holders and support systems to perform all the test methods listed above.
• A digital timer which automatically controls gas flow and records timed events.
• Flame impingement time is accomplished by adjusting the up/down button for the flame application time, in seconds.
• Automatic control of flame application time.
• Enables recording of “after flame” values.

This FAA OSU RHR Rate of Heat Release Apparatus evaluates the heat release performance of aircraft interior materials. These instruments are individually inspected by the FAA for compliance to the manufacturing requirements of the FAA. A conformance certificate from the FAA is included with the equipment.
