Accurate measurement of velocity and particle and droplet size
An Oxford Lasers VisiSize system is an excellent replacement for an obsolete PDA system and offers new possibilities that PDPAs cannot. The image-based particle sizing technique is easy to set up, like taking a simple photo, it's precise and very accessible.
The system includes a light source that illuminates the particles, droplets and bubbles that interest you and a camera equipped with a microscope lens captures these images. Our software then analyzes the image and calculates the particle size and speed.
Works in harsh environments.
VisiSize systems are designed to operate in harsh environments. VisiSize is able to handle large temperature differences, ranging from inside drying systems to dry conditions.
Additional capacity
Where VisiSize really offers an advantage is the additional deliverability of information. In fact, measurements based on images at high magnification allow you to capture particles in flight (eg: nozzle breakage) without motion blur. In addition, the VisiSize speed measurement gives indications of speed and direction, unlike standard PDPA systems.
Simple experiential alignment
A VisiSize system does not require complex alignment: it is sufficient to install the camera and the light source opposite each other on the optical rail (supplied). Because the system uses direct imaging, you can see in real time when the system is capturing good quality images, making system setup quick and easy. Once you are satisfied with the images, you are ready to collect the data.
